Interview - Coming Home: A Somatic Women’s Retreat in Italy for Rest and Renewal. Interview with Consuelo Cogrossi

In a fast changing world that constantly pulls us into our heads, it’s natural to long for a place to land, a space where you can slow down, breathe, and feel at home in yourself again. The Coming Home Women’s Retreat with Consuelo Cogrossi was created with exactly this intention: to guide you back to your body, to its quiet wisdom, and to what truly nourishes you.

Held in the peaceful surroundings of Tara Nature Retreat, this experience offers the time, space, and gentle support you need to soften, release stress, restore calm, and remember what matters most to you.

1. “What does 'Coming Home' mean to you personally, and why does it feel important right now?”

“Coming Home” is at the heart of everything I do (personally and professionally). It’s about inviting people to live more fully in their bodies, noticing the wisdom behind every emotion and sensation. In today’s world, so many of us live in our heads, disconnected from our bodies. This retreat offers the space to slow down, tune in to yourself, and really notice what’s happening in your body and mind, and there’s no better time than now.

2. “What inspired you to create a retreat centered around 'Coming Home'?”

The retreat grew from my passion for somatic practices, which help people reconnect with their bodies and emotions. I noticed that many of my coaching clients wanted tools to feel calmer, more grounded, and confident in their lives. “Home” is a metaphor, it’s about coming back to your body, your breath, and a safe space where you can relax, nourish yourself, and be yourself. These ideas shaped the intention behind the retreat.

3. “What challenges or patterns are you seeing women/people facing right now that this retreat is designed to support?”

Many women are looking for ways to release stress stored in their bodies, process emotions, and recover from past experiences. Life moves fast, and it can be hard to find space to pause and truly feel, process, and let go. This retreat provides practical tools, supportive guidance, and a safe environment to help participants release tension and regain calm, clarity, and energy.

4. “Can you walk us through the journey of the 'Coming Home' women's retreat —from arrival to closing?”

The retreat begins with the first couple of days focused on arriving and settling in. This is your time to slow down, take in the peaceful surroundings, do some journaling, and enjoy moments of quiet reflection. It’s also when you’ll start connecting with the other participants in a relaxed and natural way.

Once you’ve settled, we turn our attention to visioning. This is about exploring the relationship you want with yourself and your body — noticing what feels good, what your body needs, and how you want to show up for yourself moving forward.

The next phase is about releasing what’s in the way. Through gentle movement, breathwork, and simple rituals, you’ll work with tension, stress, and emotions stored in the body, creating space for clarity, ease, and calm.

The retreat closes with celebration. This is a chance to tap into your creativity and playfulness, reflect on what you’ve discovered, and enjoy the simple joy of being fully present with yourself and the circle you’ve shared.

5. “What do you hope participants will carry home with them after the retreat?”

I hope participants leave feeling safe, supported, and cared for, with a renewed sense of self-love, acceptance, and belonging. This retreat is designed to remind women that they are not alone in their journey.

6. “What made Tara Nature Retreat the right home for this experience?”

Tara Nature Retreat is a quiet place, surrounded by nature, where you can really step away from the stress of everyday life. It’s easy to slow down, relax, and focus on yourself. I still remember walking to the outdoor yoga deck last year and feeling a wave of calm wash over me, thinking, “I’ll be back here next year.”
