Tara Nature Retreat is an absolute gem! The location is beautifully secluded and completely surrounded by nature, making it the perfect place to escape and recharge. The facilities are spotless, and you can genuinely feel the love and spirit that has been poured into the house. The pool is simply the best, a real highlight of the stay. Timothy and Caroline are such sweet and attentive hosts. They are incredibly responsive and go out of their way to make sure you feel looked after and at home. Highly recommend this retreat place if you are looking for peace, quiet, and stunning natural surroundings.
I hosted my one week yoga retreat at Tara Nature Retreat and it was amazing - I can really recommend this place: Tim and Caroline, the owners of this place, and the team with Nikoleta, Betka and Michaela made our time unforgettable. We practiced twice a day on the beautiful outdoor yoga deck which is just in the middle of the nature where you can reconnect with her easily. The rooms in the house are clean and with lovely interior. The food was vegan/vegetarian with many gluten-free options. Any wishes we had the team made it possible. There are many little spots around the pool and the house where it's sunny or in the shade where you can just relax - I would host another retreat there for sure!!
Hired this venue for a Yoga & Movement based retreat in 2024 - had been looking for this type of place for a few years and it was worth the wait. A oasis of peace and calm in the midst of Umbria’s authentic and beautiful landscape. Caroline and Timothy have exceeded our expectations with what they offer at Tara Nature. From comfy beds to amazing food, we had it all. As a retreat organiser I particularly loved the clear and easy communication with the Tara Nature Retreats hosts.
I had the most magical time at Tara Nature retreat. I was there for a yoga nidra training and the environment was perfect for it. The outdoor yoga platform is surrounded by trees and everyday the sun rose over us as we had our morning practice. the indoor space was very cozy and had everything you could ask for in a yoga space. The hosts Timothy, Caroline, and baby Tammy were warm, welcoming and treated everyone there with so much kindness. I got to explore the property and was surprised how big it is. There’s lots to explore! I can’t wait to go back:)
Beautiful nature retreat, set amongst trees and a big sky. The wooden deck was absolutely amazing to dance on and for yoga sessions, especially sunset dances! The yogashala is well equipped with a great soundsystem - Bose speakers. Speakers are fitted to the wall which provides more space for moving bodies. The rooms are comfortable with plenty of space to hang clothes, always a bonus. Many bathrooms for the group and views from all windows . The food is healthy, tasty and pleasant surprises with each meal. Loved the coffee! And the teas were just right in between sessions. The fire pit provided moments of laughter and sharing. Last, but not least - the swimming pool provided coolness and laughter and lazing in the sun. Will come again!

Cooler in the summer - We are about 5 degree Celsius cooler than Rome, due to our 400m elevation, the surrounding forest, and breezes on our hilltop. We also enjoy a 15m swimming pool to enjoy both sun and cool water - the very best of summer vibes :).

Easy access to Rome FCO / Rome Tiburtina - Tara Nature Retreat is only 90 minute drive from Rome Tiburtina and has a direct shuttle bus from Rome FCO international airport and Rome Tiburtina train station.

Culture - We are at the centre of authentic Italian culture & cuisine, with quick access to well known cities of Rome, Perugia, and Assisi, and "off the beaten track" locations of Todi, Narni, and Orte. Wine and olive farm tours are easily accessible. We have access to the fairly-priced transportation providers to get you there.
