They now call this paradise home and have created a retreat centre with heart. It is an eco-friendly refuge that respects Mother Natures and strives for a sustainable future.

We are Caroline & Timothy, and we welcome you to Tara Nature Retreat: a peaceful sanctuary in the green heart of Italy, created for rest, reconnection, and meaningful time together.

Nestled on a quiet hilltop in the forests of Umbria, our retreat space is surrounded by open skies, wild nature, and long views. You’ll find seclusion and calm, yet we are just 90 minutes from Rome.

Tara is a place to slow down and reconnect, whether through movement, creativity, shared experiences, or simply time in nature. Days unfold gently here, with space for workshops, group gatherings, outdoor activities, and quiet moments of reflection. Forest walks, fresh air, and star-filled nights are all part of the experience.

We host retreats and gatherings - from yoga & wellness to creative/personal development, to intimate group experiences - and nourish you with organic food and pristine Nature.​​

We are a fully-equipped center with world-class infrastructure: a long 15 m pool, 110 m2 outdoor deck, and 52 m2 indoor studio/shala with Bose speakers and a beamer for all audio/video needs.
